Ant – Walking the Wall

Oil can face, WW2 parachute hooks for mandibles.

  Cobra

The eyes are marbles held in with white tack. Just goes to show how the eyes can change a face, even an angry snake!

Crab

I know it’s obvious, but I think you can catch the attitude?

Crocodile

Made mostly from various chains and saws/sprockets.  Scissors for eyes, fish knives for tail fins.

Enterprise

One for the plumbers. Expansion valve/map gas cylinders. The Landrover back light lenses light up to become my drive-way lights.

Flower

I tried to make the petals spell out a phrase. It starts at the top middle with a “T”. We now just call it “gethi”, it doesn’t mean anything, it’s just what I can see.

MantiS

Stands guard by the entrance. The arms are on swivel clamps so you can move his pose.

Minion

I still haven’t got round to painting “Dave” yellow.

Pelican Peacock

Golf clubs and spoons. One for the Golf Widows/Widowers?

Scorpion MK 1

This was my first try and I copied it from a Mr Jacks of Gloucester while I was working in his widow's (Liz) garden.

Scorpion MK II

Getting more confident after the first attempt. Bike shock for the body and sockets for the tail.

Tank

Oil drench air gun for the barrel. I believe there was an early French tank with this shape.

T-Rex

My favourite part is the spark plugs for vertebrae

  Bread oven

Made for a mechanic friend, hence the spanners. He is going to fit in into his wood burner.

  Caterpillar

Chain and washers which means it can be articulated to any shape. Face is a hole punch.

  Klingon Warbird

What else should sit oppose the Enterprise as driveway lights? Constructed from Jack saw blades to get the curved wings. The light is an old fashioned bicycle headlamp but with an LED light fitted.

  Ladies and Gents

Idea copied from Egypt Mills in Nailsworth. They had these motifs as their toilet signs.

  Milk bottle holder

We decided to have milk delivered so we needed a milk bottle holder. Luckily, I had a brake disc, suspension spring, horseshoes and a piston to hand. I decided to cushion the glass against the metal but using car mats.

  Steer Scaffolders Skull

All made from scaffolding poles and clamps.

  Horseshoe heart

You’ve got to love a Farrier.

  Seahorse – Mark 1

Only got the tail right but couldn’t get the face to fit. Watch this space!

  Glass holder for a friend

The glass orbs needed new supports and this is what I came up with.
